Introduction:

Ustadah Zarmina Kundi, a Karachi (Pakistan) native, is a passionate educator with a multifaceted background. Her academic journey culminated in a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Iqra University, where she was honoured with a Gold Medal. Subsequently, She undertook her Master's in Business Administration with a specialisation in Human Resources, conducting research for her final thesis on the psychological contract of employees, while concurrently serving as the Academic Coordinator of the Business Department at the same university.

Professional Experience:

Ustadah Zarmina Kundi's professional trajectory extends beyond academia, having served as a Program Coordinator and Consultant for the International Rescue Committee (IRC-US). Despite her diverse roles, she remains dedicated to her primary role as a homemaker and mother of three, embodying the harmonious balance between professional excellence and family commitment.

Islamic Scholarship:

Her passion for Islamic scholarship ignited in 2011, leading her to immerse herself in the study of Quran, Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, Usul al-Fiqh, and Arabic under the tutelage of traditional scholars for four years. This rigorous pursuit culminated in the completion of the Dars-e-Nizami curriculum and the attainment of the esteemed Alimiyyah degree from Wifaq ul Madaris Al-Arabiyyah Al-Pakistan.Furthermore, she has been granted Sanad ul Ijazah in all Six Canonical Books of Hadith, along with additional texts like Tahawi Shareef and the Muwaṭṭa of Imam Malik, by esteemed scholars who can trace their authority back to luminaries such as Shaykh Mufti Rafi Usmani (Rahimahullah) and Shaykh Mufti Taqi Usmani (Hāfizahullāh).

Teaching and Outreach:

Since 2013, Ustadah Zarmina Kundi has been actively engaged in teaching and Daw’ah activities across numerous cities of Pakistan. Despite residing in Pakistan, her students and mentees span across the globe, benefiting from her guidance. Additionally, she holds a pivotal role as an instructor at Maryam Institute and in the past she has been invited to deliver lectures to female students at Riphah Medical University. Alongside these commitments, she extends her guidance and mentorship to female students and local women within the community. Beyond academia, she conducts workshops and courses on various topics, including fiqh, spirituality, and self-management. In addition to conducting an intensive “Daura Tafseer” of the entire Qur'an during Ramadan, she hosts online and onsite courses on various topics such as Al Shamail Al Muhammadiya, Fiqh of Menstruation, Fiqh of Intimacy, My Quran My Life, The Art of Marital Bliss and thematic tafseer sessions like Jawahirul Quran.

Specialisation & Research:

Post-2020, Ustadah Zarmina Kundi pursued a rigorous three-year course titled Takhassus fil Fiqh wa Ifta with specialisation in the Fiqh of Women, at AlBalagh Academy UK. For her final thesis, she delved into the Shariah-based analysis of mental illnesses and evaluated their impact on divorce validity. Her instructors included esteemed juriconsults from Darul Uloom Deoband, Darul Uloom Karachi, and the UK, such as Mufti Syed Abrar (Deoband), Mufti Muhammad Musab (Deoband), Dr. Rafaqat Rashid (JKN, UK), Mufti Muhammad ibn Adam (Daruliftaa, UK), and Mufti Abdul Waheed (JKN Fatawa, UK).

Currently, Ustadah Zarmina Kundi plays a pivotal role in teaching, mentoring, and project management with AlBalagh Academy, UK. Additionally, she contributes her expertise to the research endeavours of the JKN (Jamia Khatum e Nabuwwat) UK Research team, further enriching her scholarly pursuits. In addition to her current commitments, Ustadah is deeply immersed in expanding her expertise in instructional design, a field she views as pivotal in shaping the future of educational methodologies. To this end, she dedicates time to engage with diverse platforms gaining training and knowledge in instructional design.
