Ustadah Mehmuda Mulla is a traditionally trained Alimiyyah graduate from Jameah Uloomul Quran lil Banaat, Leicester, completing the Alimiyyah Degree in Islamic Sciences in 2009. Covering an in-depth understanding of Islamic Theology and Islamic Law (Shari’ah). She has broad experience of teaching young children Islamic Studies in Primary school to post 16 classes in subjects of Qur’an, Tajweed, Fiqh, Tareekh (Islamic History) and Arabic.
In 2020 her passion to deepen her understanding in Women’s Fiqh she completed the Level 1 and Level 2 Postgraduate study in Mastering the Fiqh of Menstruation at Whitethread Institute. Advancing onto and completing the Postgraduate study in Takhassus Fil Fiqh Wa Iftaa with Al Balagh Academy in 2024. A programme of study which empowers the Sharia scholars by developing advanced research skills, critical thinking, and an ability to grasp complex cases generically through intense Mashq-e-Fatwa and case studies. The programme provides a comprehensive understanding of Usul-al-Fiqh (Legal Theories), Qawa’id al-Fiqh (Legal Maxims) and their application to the contemporary legal cases, based on the traditional Hanafi Madhab.
Currently Ustadah Mehmuda Mulla continues to serve as a teacher, mentor and lecturer at Al Balagh Academy teaching a variety of Islamic subjects and serves as a junior research associate with JKN Fatawa department UK under the supervision of Mufti Abdul Waheed.
