Hifdh al-Qur'an (Essential)

About The Programme

Al Balagh Hifdh al-Qur'an (Essentials) programme is based on a unique approach to memorisation with the traditional Hardoi system and contemporary techniques.

This programme is designed for professionals, university students, homemakers, working sisters and everyone who has a desire to memorise the important chapters and verses of the holy Qur’an. Students can pace through the levels based on their calibre and passion. The main aim is for you to learn and recite them in your prayers and be able to capture the light of the Qur’an in their hearts.

By the end of the Hifdh al-Qur'an (Essentials) course, you will get the certificate for completing the essential Surahs of the holy Quran. The teacher will grant you a Shahada for memorising those Surahs when you recite it to them while applying the Tajwīd rules.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever recites a letter from Allah’s Book, then he receives the reward from it, and the reward of ten the like of it. I do not say that Alif Lam Meem is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Meem is a letter.”

~ {At-Tirmidhi}

Programme Overview

We designed a Hifdh al-Qur’an Essentials programme for beginners in Qur’an memorisation. This programme will emphasise the memorisation of the basic Surahs and verses of the Qur’an that are obligatory upon every Muslim. It maintains a proper balance between memorisation and review of each lesson, ensuring that what is learned is not lost. Students can complete the levels at their pace, depending on their memorisation skills.

Students keen on beginning the memorisation of the Qur’an in small steps but unable to find reliable teachers can opt for these classes.

The Hifdh al-Qur’an Essentials programme is divided into nine levels. The programme focuses on memorisation through reading, listening, and reciting.

We highly encourage students to complete at least three levels of the Essentials programme. However, there is no restriction, and students can leave the programme whenever they want.

Learning Objectives

In this course, students will:

  • Start with memorising the verses accurately from the Qur’an.
  • Review the recent surahs that you memorised with your teacher.
  • Take a balanced approach to memorisation and revision.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this programme, the students will:

    • Complete the memorisation of everything from their syllabus.
    • Know the techniques for reviewing what you learn.
    • Learn how to retain the chapters that you have memorised.

This programme is suitable for those who intend to memorise certain surahs or begin their journey of memorising the Qur’an with small steps.

  • Students who have already completed the syllabus of a certain level can directly begin with the Level after taking a test.
  • The duration of the Level completely depends upon students’ calibre and dedication towards classes and memorisation.
  • One can speed up their pace in completing the various levels by taking two weekly classes and memorising bigger portions of the syllabus weekly.
  • Students can shift from 1 weekly class batch to 2 weekly class batches at any time during the Level. Contact the Admin Team on WhatsApp or get help from the Live Chat feature.
  • After 3 months of the programme, students will get an estimate of the duration they may take to complete the different levels based on their memorisation skills and dedication.
  • For those of you who are interested in 1-1 Hifdh classes, please register interest here.
