Mufti Abu Yûsuf is a traditionally trained Islamic scholar and lecturer currently serving at Al-Jāmiʿatul ʿArabiyyah Ahsan-ul-ʿUlūm, Karachi, Pakistan. His pursuit of sacred knowledge began in 2017 when he travelled from his native Belgium to the United Kingdom to study under the renowned scholar and ḥadīth expert Shaykh ul-Ḥadīth Muḥammad Saleem Dhorat (may Allāh preserve him).
After completing the ʿĀlimiyyah programme in 2023 at the Islamic Dawah Academy (Leicester), he advanced to Pakistan to specialise in Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) at the world-famous Jāmiʿah Uloom ul-Islāmiyyah Allāmah Yūsuf Banuri Town, where he successfully completed the Takhaṣṣuṣ fil-Fiqh and received the formal title of Mufti.
He now serves in the Dār al-Iftāʾ department of Ahsan-ul-ʿUlūm, an institution founded by his father-in-law, the eminent ʿAllāmah Mufti Zarwali Khan (raḥimahullāh). His primary fields of interest include Fiqh and its principles, Ḥadīth, Tafsīr, and ʿAqīdah.
Fluent in French and English, Mufti Abu Yûsuf has also taught Tafsīr in French online for several years. He now joins Al Balagh Academy to teach Islamic sciences to a global audience, with a special focus on French-language instruction.
