Dr. Umtulkhair is a General Practitioner who has specialized in Woman’s health.
Dr Umtulkhair has been a founding member of the British Islamic Medical Association (BIMA) and an active member of the UK Islamic Mission (UKIM), she has been instrumental in organizing various national and local events. These include professional development programs and online webinars tailored for General Practitioners, consultants, and healthcare trainees. Through these initiatives, Dr. Umtulkhair has played a pivotal role in fostering continuous professional growth and community engagement among healthcare professionals.
Her commitment to community service is equally commendable. Dr. Umtulkhair has collaborated with local mosques and national organizations to deliver health talks and manage youth clubs. These efforts reflect her dedication to improving public health awareness and nurturing the next generation.
A passionate student of Islamic studies, Dr. Umtulkhair is also a teacher of Quran and Tajweed. She holds an ijaza in Qiraat, a significant accomplishment that denotes her mastery in the recitation of the Quran. At Albalagh Academy and local Masajid, she has been actively involved in teaching Tajweed and various.
Dr. Umtulkhair is a mother of four young children. She views motherhood as an opportunity to instill the love of learning and Islamic values in her children. Currently, one of her hobbies is to continue her journey as a student of knowledge and Quran memorization, a pursuit she shares with her children.
Beyond her professional and spiritual pursuits, Dr. Umtulkhair enjoys cooking , sports. travelling and volunteering.
