About Dr. Asmaa Al Abdulghani

Dr. Asmaa Al Abdulghani is a senior medical manager at Hamad Medical Corporation in Doha, Qatar, where she has worked since 2014. She is the director of the national organ donation campaign in Qatar and chairman of the ethical Committee for Oversight of Living Donation that oversees the psychosocial evaluation of prospective living donors. She is participating in many research projects that we are working on. Her field research has enabled the Qatar Organ Donation Center to have an evidence-based on the development of the deceased and living donation programs and optimized our policies to be aligned with the JCI standards and to improve our quality indicators.
Within a short period of time, Dr. Asmaa has developed her skills and got two qualifications from University of Barcelona, one is Transplant Procurement Management Diploma and the second is International Master in Donation of Organs, Tissues, and Cells for Transplantation. In 2020 she has completed the course on Principles and Practice of Clinical Research from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Organ Donation at the University of Bedfordshire.
Dr. Asmaa has proven herself to be enthusiastic, innovative, and efficient with high skill of organization, communication, and leadership.
