About

Questions relating to LGBT are no longer theoretical discussions taking place elsewhere. Increasingly, parents, Maktab teachers, and Imams are encountering these topics through the questions, comments, and concerns raised by children and young people.

While many Islamic educators are familiar with the Islamic position, navigating these conversations can raise a number of practical challenges. What are children being taught about these issues? What legal and safeguarding considerations should be kept in mind? How should such discussions be approached in a responsible and effective manner? Equally important, how can we help children develop a strong Muslim identity, a clear sense of purpose, and a meaningful connection with Allah that enables them to navigate contemporary challenges with confidence and clarity?

This free 3-hour masterclass will explore these questions and highlight some of the key considerations for those involved in the Islamic upbringing and education of children.
