Short Bio
Sameeha Elias is a registered Counselling Psychologist in independent practice, specialising in child, adolescent, adult, and couples psychotherapy. She integrates evidence-based approaches—CBT, DBT, Schema Therapy, EMDR, and neurodiversity-affirming practices—with principles of Islamic Psychology to provide culturally grounded, compassionate mental-health care.
She has extensive experience across inpatient and outpatient settings, including therapeutic work at Summit Clinic and Rondebosch Medical Centre. Sameeha is also active in academia as a guest lecturer at Stellenbosch University, where she teaches Family and Child Interventions in the Master’s Clinical Psychology programme, and she supervises Honours research students at SACAP.
Passionate about community upliftment, she volunteers as a trauma psychologist for Gift of the Givers and provides counselling support to various non-profit organisations. She regularly facilitates workshops on neurodiversity-affirming therapy and Islamic psychology, contributing to broader mental-health education and professional development.
