Moulana Abdur Rahman Anwar
Imam Abdurrahman Anwar was born in San Jose, CA, and later moved to the UK, spending part of his early years there. In the late 1990s, he pursued his Islamic studies at a seminary in India. After completing his studies in 2006, he served as an Imam at the Yaseen Foundation and taught at an Islamic school in the San Francisco Bay Area.
In 2011, he relocated to London to be closer to his parents and now resides in East London with his family, actively serving the local community. He is a regular Khateeb at Edmonton and Cann Hall Masajid and frequently delivers talks at various mosques and universities. Additionally, he teaches part-time adult courses at Ebrahim College and his local mosque.
For over a decade, he was involved with Ummah Welfare Trust, aiding humanitarian efforts worldwide. He also serves as a Shariah advisor to several Muslim charities. Currently, Imam Abdurrahman works as a Muslim Chaplain with Barts Health NHS Trust, collaborating closely with the Palliative Care team to provide spiritual support to patients and families.
